Day 1
Meet and greet at the hotel lobby by our license tour guide and
proceed to Kiulu River by road which takes about 45min drives. Upon
arrival at Kiulu, Light refreshment is served. A short briefing will
be given by the rafters on the safety precautions and rafting
technique. Commence rafting down the Kiulu River until the Ending
point. Lunch will be served at the Ending Point.
At approximately 14300-1500hrs. Proceed for an easy 2-hour scenic
drive to Kundasang. It is a popular getaway from the hustle and
bustle of the city to enjoy the cool invigorating air. Check in to
Resort in Kundasang area. Dinner at Resort. Overnight at Resort in
Kundasang area [Lunch & Dinner provided]
Day 2
Breakfast at the Resort. Proceed for Poring Hot Spring Tour,
which is located 39 km away from Kinabalu park. You can soak in the
skin curative properties of a hot sulphur bath or a natural health
Spa for one to rejuvenate body and mind. Could trek the various
trail through rich lowland forest. Mountain streams and waterfalls.
A must-visit is the Poring Canopy Walkway which stroll amidst the
treetops of the Menggaris Tree – the King of the forest – and admire
the view of the rainforest from a different perspective. The canopy
walkway is 157.8 m. long and 41 m. high. Lunch served at local
restaurant.
Proceed for Kinabalu Park – Malaysia’s first World Heritage
designated by UNESCO in December 2002 for its ‘outstanding universal
values” and role as one of the world’s most important biological
sites. The importance of Kinabalu’s botanical diversity is described
as “one of the richest assemblages of Plants in the world” by one of
the expert. This botanical paradise is blessed with an astonishing
variety of flora and fauna that range over 4 climate zones, from the
rich lowland dipterocarp forest through the montane oak,
rhododendron, and coniferous forests, to the alpine Meadow plants.
Kinabalu Park has probably one of the richest flora collections in
the world. Upon arrival could visit the exhibition centre or step
into Wonderland by following any of the numerous trails around
Kinabalu Park, each filled With discovery. This botanical paradise
of Borneo is home to an estimated 1,200 species of orchids, 26
species of rhododendrons, 9 species of Nepenthes pitcher plants,
over 80 species of fig trees, over 60 species of oaks and chestnut
trees, 100 species of mammals, 326 species of birds … the list goes
on. Return to Kota Kinabalu enroute Rose Garden and Kundasang
Vegetable market. Transfer to Kota Kinabalu Hotel for check in.
